We are so proud of what Wendi has accomplished here at Embody Fitness. When she started with us, planking and cardio was hard and in just a few months later, she is running regularly, doing wall walks for reps, and squatting over 150lb! These accomplishments only came from her tenacity, drive, and determination to be the best version of herself. How long have you been working out? On and off for about 8 years, with a few long hiatuses in there
Why did you start working out at Embody Fitness? Needed to get back in shape after having kids late in life. I wanted to be strong again, have energy and try to get my body back after my 2 pregnancies.
What keeps you coming back? I love the way I feel when I’ve finished my workout first thing in the morning. I’m much more productive the rest of the day. And of course I love my morning workout crew!
How has working out changed your life, lifestyle and level of fitness? I feel so much better when I’m working out (and I eat better too). Working out increases my confidence for sure, in every aspect of my life.
Is there something you have done here that you never thought you could do? I definitely thought my handstand and bridge days were over. Apparently not.
What motivates/inspires you?
My husband and kiddos. I want our entire family to live our best life. I want my kids to learn to love themselves through our example, so it motivates me to think about my everyday actions that they are soaking up and taking in.
What goals have you achieved at Embody Fitness so far?
I’ve regained my strength, lost some inches, and increased my cardiovascular endurance.
Any advice for new members?
Give yourself some grace if you are just starting out.
